Marco Polo is not the first European to travel the Silk Road but was the first to make detailed journals about the road, greatness of China and its capital Beijing, written in the book "Livres des Merveilles du monde", published on 1300. He was a merchant and a muse to Christopher Columbus to start his own adventure.
Today, many movies, tv shows, games and much more are made inspired by Marco Polo.
